5 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo wildlife safari : These are two exciting and exciting safari experiences that start and end in Kampala, Uganda and are both five-day excursions.
It is during this Uganda safari that you will be able to spend time with the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. We will take you to the Bwindi impenetrable national park, which is one of the world’s largest national parks.
Additionally, a safari will also take you to Lake Mburo national park where you will have the opportunity to view a wide range of wildlife species during the game drives and boat cruises, including buffaloes, leopards, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, hippos, and crocodiles.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
In the morning, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then start the journey to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is the first day of the five-day trek for Bwindi gorillas and Lake Mburo wildlife. Based on your location on this first day, you will be taken to the park by our driver guide for the first day of the safari.
A stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe will be arranged on the way where you can buy souvenirs, and after that you will continue your journey with an en-route lunch stop.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Upon arrival in Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 5 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo wildlife safari, you will proceed to your driver guide to the park headquarters for a briefing regarding the rules, regulations and expectations of the Uganda gorilla trekking excursion.
After the briefing, each group of 8 people will be divided into smaller groups in which a mountain gorilla family will be assigned to trek for that day and you will be accompanied on the trek by a park ranger who has a lot of knowledge about these fascinating creatures.
A gorilla trek in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes approximately 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on their location, and during the trek you will also be able to view forest birds, other primates like l’hoest monkeys, baboons as well as several plant and tree species among others.
After you have found the mountain gorillas, you will have the opportunity to spend one hour with them, where you can learn more about their lifestyle, behaviors, and habits, take pictures, observe how they conduct their daily activities, and keep a record of these fascinating memories to share with your family and friends.
Once you have visited the gentle giants and had your heart and soul stolen by their majestic presence, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will receive your certificate for taking part in gorilla trekking. Following your encounter with the gentle giants, you will meet up with your guide to head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
It is the third day of your 5 days Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo wildlife safari that you will check out of the lodge and meet with your driver guide so that we can transfer to Lake Mburo National Park after breakfast. Aside from enjoying breathtaking views on the way, you will also have lunch on the way to the destination, and once you arrive, you can participate in an optional walking safari that allows you to get up close to different types of wildlife, listen to the sweet sounds of birds, and enjoy the cool breeze, among other things.
After the nature walk, you will be driven back to the lodge to have dinner and to spend the night.
Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
During the fourth day of the 5-day Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo safari, you will have an early breakfast. Then you will meet up with your driver guide to embark on a morning game drive where you will be rewarded with some of the best views possible of animals such as waterbucks, elands, buffaloes, zebras, impalas, topis and giraffes, all of which are grazing in open savannah plains under the right conditions.
Upon completion of your game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go on an interesting boat cruise where you get the chance to see hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs drinking water along the shorelines, and bird species such as kingfisher, bee-eaters, fish eagles, cormorants among others while you cruise.
In the afternoon, you will drive to the lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 5: Departure to Kampala
On the last morning of your 5 days of Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Mburo Uganda Safari, you will have a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the lodge to meet up with your driver guide so that you can start your journey back to Kampala. After having an en-route lunch en route, you will continue your journey to Kampala and upon arrival, you will be picked up by your driver guide to be taken to Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or to any other destination according to your choice.
